SUPPORT MY CHALLENGE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR BLIND LOW VISION NZ GUIDE DOGS

I've gone barking mad, and I'm taking part in the PAWGUST challenge to raise funds for Blind Low Vision NZ Guide Dogs.

Rain, hail or shine, this August, I will be pounding the pavement!

Did you know it costs in excess of $50,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog?! With thousands of dogs being trained each year, every dollar counts. I need your help so that together, we can create a world where everyone who needs a Guide Dog has a Guide Dog.

Please make a donation to support my challenge today. Every bit counts.

My Updates

Target Reached

We made it.  We've not only reached our goal of 60kms run in the month but also just passed our fundraising goal too.  And there's still a few days of August left! Thanks to all my suppawters.

Back on deck

Yay! Rex is fully recovered now and back running with me again.  Thanks to all who have supported me so far.  Half way through the challenge now and well on target to reach my goals.

Going it alone.

Rex has not been feeling well the last couple of days so I'm currently going it alone. The run is just not the same without my buddy so hopefully he's back by my side soon.

My longest run ever!

Today we logged out 2nd run, 6km this time.  Rex said it was hard work, the longest he's ever run. Day off tomorrow.

Day 1

And we're off!  This morning we set off about 6.30am in the dark for our first run of PAWgust.  Rex all set up with his lighthound harness leading the way like Rudolph leading the sleigh. It was cold, as in very cold, and blowing a gale, but we achieved our first 5km for the month.  Yay.

Backyard training.

Only a couple of weeks to go until we start logging our km's.  Rex is getting in a bit of extra training in the backyard with his chook.

Rex is excited.

Rex can't contain his excitement at the thought of doing this challenge with me. Chasing a few bubbles to help build up those muscles. Running training is going well too.
