By raising funds this PAWGUST, you will be helping Guide Dogs to deliver essential services to anyone who is blind or has low vision.

All our services are provided at no cost to our clients.

At Blind Low Vision NZ, we believe that vision loss will not and should not limit a person’s independence. We provide assistance to anyone with vision loss, no matter what age or level of vision, and we work to ensure that people with low vision or blindness are active and involved members of the community.

Blind Low Vision NZ provides a wide range of services that help people with vision loss to enhance their mobility and independence, and build their confidence for further education, employment and social participation. All our services are provided at no cost to our clients.

  Guide Dogs

We breed, raise and train dogs that guide someone who is blind or vision impaired safely from one destination to another.

  Orientation and mobility services

Our orientation and mobility services include development of skills in the use of long canes, guide dogs and other mobility aids.

  Daily Living Services

We teach people with vision loss daily living skills which offset the impacts of vision loss through skills development and specialised equipment.

  Adaptive Technology

We provide training on the use of adaptive technology and specialist equipment which facilitate continued access to information, social and community activities.

  Client Advocacy

We advocate on behalf of our clients to make the community an easier place in which to live and work.
